The Celtics window is closing

If I have to hear one more time how young this Celtics team is and how bright the future is I’m going to snap. Not taking advantage of your opportunities in sports is a cardinal sin. There is no guarantee to ever get this chance again. In all probability this is the last time this Celtics team will actually see the NBA finals. The odds are in favor of that out come. How many examples can you come up with that either never made it back or never made it at all? Marino, Barry Sanders, Tony Gwynn Barkley (aka anyone who ran into MJ).

The NBA hasn’t had this much parody in as long as I can remember. There is more talent spread across the league than you can shake a Dr. Big Mac hot fudge fried Turkey leg at. Just in the East the Celtics are going to have to deal with Giannis, KD, and Embid for at least another 3 - 5 years. Never mind Miami who is always in prime position to snag a max guy to add to their #1 over all squad.

Another thing to keep in mind. The NBA player is not one to stay still. In this generation brands are as important or more important than loyalty to a team. Boston isn’t what I would call the mecca of Brand Awareness. Larger and warmer markets are a destination for young superstars in which the Celtics have 2. Jaylen Brown’s contract expires in 2 years with exactly 0% guarantee he stays. Listen to his press conferences and the confidence he speaks with. If he has an opportunity to go become a “Number 1” in a destination city that will be a hard offer to turn down. Oh, and now Kanye is in his ear. So who know what wildly chaotic crazy shit that maniac is whispering to him.

With all that being said. I’d love it if the Celtics got their heads out of their asses for the remainder of the NBA FINALS! Because their “window” is exactly the next week and a half.
