The Patriots have no future as currently constituted

Outside of Drake Maye there is no development of young players on this team unless you want to count Christian Gonzalez. But, Gonzalez in my eyers has just been a good player since he walked into the league and flat lined. There's no real evidence of him improving.
The wide receiver group is the youngest position group on the team with the lowest level of improvement by far. The Patriots wide receivers to a man suck. If you want to talk me into Pop Douglas as a third option in the slot, I’ll listen but not for very long. The latest reporting on the Wide Receivers from Phil Perry was “There is something wrong in that room”.
You could completely replace the offensive line in the off-season and no one would blink and I including the third highest paid guard in the league and Mike Onwenu. Guys like Robinson, Jordan, Sow, Ben Brown who they picked off the street. Technically you could say there's been some improvement in past protection, but only because of how abysmal it was the first couple games and truthfully it's mostly drake making the look better. They have gone backwards and run protection.
The tight ends are old, there's no potential game changer in the running back room, they need to completely blow out the line backing core, they currently don't roster in actual coverage safety, and even the punter sucks now.

Marcus Jones is a weapon in kick returns. Which is great because kick returns are so impactful in today's NFL and the Patriots’ defense create so much opportunity for punt returns. Not.

Alex Van Pelt still controls the worst offense in the league even with the number three overall pick contributing to 95% of their production on offense now. There is no substantial offensive scheme to speak of or to grow with.

Defensively, I get it. They have been crushed with injuries, and the Wolfpack added zero impactful players in the off-season, but can you name what the defensive philosophy is? Answer: reactionary.

Fundamentals like tackling have gone downhill as a season moves forward. They can't stop the run, they give up big plays. They're not overly aggressive. There's miscommunication and poorly timed penalties. Jerod Mayo and Demarcus Covington took this defense from #9 in DVOA to #30 in DVOA in the league. Last year’s ijuries were comparable to this years, too. In short, they are a mess and certainly not building any kind of core that we had hope for in the off-season with guys like bar Baremore, Keon White, and Gonzales.

Mayo has talked about this be a rebuilding process since he took the job. You need to have a starting point with a foundation in order to build from. Right now they are not rebuilding. They are not even building. The are not establishing a philosophy on either side of the ball, they are not developing a core of young players, and they are not building the dope vibes culture Coach Vibes spoke so eloquently about with his corporate jargon bullshit. Next year they are going to have to completely start over. Their first move should be bringing in an offensive coordinator with a clue. But they won’t because the only difference between last year and this year is now you have a quarterback potentially. Despite what these Patriot bobo’s on the internet think, a good quarter back is obviously is not enough to carry a team with as poor of coaching and terrible roster the Patriots have.
