Tatum needs Brown to be elite

The Boston Celtics lost their 2nd game of the young 2024 NBA season, losing to Steph Curry and Steve Kerr.

The Warriors have the Celtics number. They are always a difficult play and Steve Kerr unveiled a perfect game plan against the Celtics. Double Jayson Tatum whenever he touches the ball and let the other 4 guys on the court beat them.

This was the early game circled on all of Celtics fans calendar. With what happened over the summer with team USA basketball, Steve Kerr benching Tatum in a couple games, Celtics fans wanted blood. Problem was that Jayson was playing with out Robin (Jaylen Brown), and I ask, can Tatum be elite without a solid 1B player.

We are starting to see what it looks like with Tatum all alone since Brown has been out multiple games with that hip injury. This roster isn’t set up for Tatum to be the guy. He has roll players but it isn’t enough to be the best team in the NBA let alone the East. It also shows who ever the next owner is, they better have money to afford that luxury tax to keep this group intact.

Tatum needs Brown and Brown needs Tatum. 9 games in and it’s as clear as glass.
