WWE needs a new star

Two big nuggets came out over the weekend when it comes to WWE. The first being that Roman Reigns announced at a house show that he doesn’t know if he will be back to that city to wrestle again, that his time is coming up. What he means to say is that Hollywood is calling with a less hectic schedule and like Hogan, Rock, and Cena he will be making the jump from wrestling to acting. The other big nugget was that Roman signed a new contract, and it has way less dates on it, more or less he will be a part timer.

With all that being said, who’s next? WWE put all its eggs in the Roman Reigns basket and really don’t have the next guy. Sure you have Drew McIntyre or Seth Rollins but do they really move the needle like Roman does. From all accounts the Drew McIntyre title run was a failed one and to have a heel taking the title from another heel just won’t work so Seth is out. But the doughboy figured it all out last night who the next guy is with the Money in the Bank promo commercial.

Who was front and center of that promo? Who is going to win Money in the Bank challenge Roman at Summer Slam and bring the winged eagle title back?

Yup, its Cody Rhodes. The summer of Cody, and why not. You just got him from your rival promotion, a promotion he never won the title and I’m sure you’re paying Cody top dollar so why not let him be the next guy up. He has all the momentum right now and could easily take all that weight that comes of being the guy and let him run with it.

If not Cody then who, because Roman’s days are numbered and someone is going to have to take his spot.
