With their third 50 point victory of the year, the Celtics proved one thing
They proved they can't prove anything until June.
This team is loaded. It is the odds on favorite to win the NBA championship. They have an insurmountable lead in the East. There are a handful of teams that maybe sniff their jock. However, we were saying very similar things about last year's team. That team was also stacked. That team was also primed to win coming off their first NBA championship experience. They were focused, they weren't taking anybody lately, they were the best offensive team in NBA history for the first several months, yada yada yada. And then Jimmy Butler and a bunch of scrubs punched him in the mouth and they caved.
We know when they lock in and hit their shots. They are unbeatable. We also know when someone applies real physical pressure and has some talent to back it up they are vulnerable. With the addition of Porzingis and Holiday and another year under Joey Mazz, this group jelling. It is very possible that the sheer amount of talent they have will just suffocate teams in the seven game series, but it only takes four games to shit the bed.
