Where will MJF go?
After a very “Mid” end of year pay per view for AEW, the talk for the next month will be where will one of the hottest “free agents” land. That free agent is Maxwell Jacob Friedman, aka MJF.
Wrestling fans also know him as the scum of the earth who held the AEW title for 403 days. For non wrestling fans he is the modern day Ric Flair, who like Flair lived his character on and off screen. MJF has made it know that come January 1st, 2024 his contract is up and will go to who ever the highest bidder is. He’s looking for a bag of money and though reports have stated he has already signed with AEW, he recently sat down with sports illustrated and said that he has not signed and in fact a free agent.
More fuel to the fire was when Samoa Joe won the title off MJF last night at Worlds End. Though many AEW fans think this was because MJF has a torn labrum and a boat load of other injuries and that’s why the title was taken off of him. But if he had all these injuries why now? Why wait till December 30th to take the title off of him?
For wrestling fans that check the dirt sheets, MJF’s landing spot will take over the headlines until January 27th. Why January 27th? Because that is when it will all end in my opinion. When number 30 comes out for WWE Royal Rumble and that entrant will be Maxwell Jacob Friedman.
