Welcome, Bradley Beal

The dust has settled on the 2022 season and after a weekend to think about the overall season and the great success we had from being an 11 seed in January and coming up 2 games short to be NBA champions we really can’t be mad at this roster……RIGHT?

Wrong, after watching these finals 2 things stood out to me

1.Our bench is terrible, even though Grant Williams won us a game against Milwaukee he is no 6th man material and the lack of offensive production that comes with Derek White is a problem. Sure the defense is great but not being able to score on the other end hurts. One of the biggest things to address in my opinion is more scarring off the bench.

2.Marcus Smart is not a point guard, nor is he the heart and soul of this team. We need a legit facilitator instead of a guy who thinks he’s Larry Bird jacking 3 pointers. I would put Marcus Smart in a trade proposal, he does have great contract to trade that any team wouldn’t mind taking on.

3.Get a 3rd star that is older than the Jay’s to take the stress off of them…. Hello Bradley Beal

I know that bringing Beal in doesn’t solve the point guard problem, but having Beal here would solve the point guard problem. With these three how wouldn’t Boston become a destination for ring chasers to come and even play for vet minimum contracts. Bradley Beal is a free agent and though a sign and trade to whatever team he picks I believe the Celtics could have the most return to the Wizards. Beal would want a max deal which if that was the case Al Horford and probably Marcus Smart with other role players like Aaron Neismith or Payton Pritchard. Take your Green Teamer undies off. Al Horford is 36 and I think what we saw in the last playoff run won’t be repeated.

A lineup of Time Lord, the Jay’s, Bradley Beal and (insert any good point guard) would be the best lineup in the East. It’s only been 4 days since The Finals ended and everyone is throwing around ways to make this team better. This is why I absolutely love the NBA off season.
