Being a Patriots fan is great, your team is always competing for a playoff spot (2020 doesn’t count) and you have so many die hard fans that show up to Gillette which can make it a problem if you want to go watch the Patriots play. During the days where they hate us cause they aint us, it was so difficult to find tickets to a game let alone pay $350 to sit at the top of Gillette. My dad and I would make it a yearly tradition to go watch a Patriots home game, we had a guy who would sell us tickets and every year we would go. Unfortunately one year my dad got sick, money was tight and we were un able to go. The guy who sold us tickets said since we missed out on a year he would put us on a wait list. Cool!

My dad and I would always talk about how great it would be traveling to an away game, we were all talk and never did anything about it, until we were put on the wait list. For my dads birthday in 2007 I bought us tickets to Patriots @ Bills and the tradition began. Since 07 my father and I have been to 21 NFL stadiums. Some experiences were amazing while some I would never step foot in ever again. It is an experience seeing the country and spots of the country I would have never thought of going in the first place. In 5 days I will be heading to my 22nd stadium when the Patriots head to Charlotte to take on the Carolina Panthers. So may I present to you Dr. BigMacs top 5 city/stadiums you need to go visit. Before I start I haven’t been to every stadium so here are the ones that I have not been too yet- Baltimore Ravens, Tennessee Titans, Jacksonville Jaguars, Las Vegas Raiders, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Bears, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, LA Rams, and San Francisco 49ers.

5. Cleveland, Ohio

Most people think the city is a dump but when you get a bunch of Patriots fans, and during the holiday season it is a crazy experience. Lots of bars and restaurants in walking distance from each other and the NFL hall of fame is 30 minutes away. Plenty to see and do and if you go during the holiday season………

The best seasonal beer you could ever put your lips on. Great Lakes Christmas Ale is by far the best thing about Cleveland Ohio!

4. Indianapolis, Indiana

The lay out for Lucas Oil Stadium is great. It is right down town, at the end of the strip leads you to the stadium, the bars and restaurants that line the down town area is perfect as well. Everything is walking distance, the people there are great, the midwest vibe. When we went the Colts were good with Andrew Luck and no one shit talks to you, just hoping for an exciting game. Its a cool vacation spot because there is nothing to go see that is worth seeing its just a cool spot to throw your bags down, drink and eat. My perfect vacation.

3. Dallas, Texas

The house that Jerry built. Dallas has a lot to see. From stadium tours, to the food, if your into history they have the JFK tour which is mind blowing. Its true what they say, everything they do in Texas is bigger and thats true to their stadium. AT&T stadium is huge. When I did the stadium tour I couldn’t believe this place, it is definitely a place you need to check out if you’re an NFL fan. The food is great, the beer is great. However getting around sucks, everything is spread out and during game days traffic is miserable. It took an hour to get to the stadium when the day before it was a 10 minute drive.

2. Seattle, Washington

If I could move anywhere in the United States, Seattle would be my number 1 pick. I absolutely love this city. Everyone says all it does is rain in Seattle, when I was there for 5 days we didn’t see rain once. The people of Seattle are some of the nicest people, the space needle is a cool spot to check out while you’re there. The downtown Fishermans area is a spot to check out, big seafood area it is like a cleaner, less snowier version of New England. Just great vibes from the city with a great history, 10 out of 10 for Seattle.

1.New Orleans, Louisiana

The stuff I have done, seen, and experienced in this city will never be able to be put on the internet. Lets just say go with a group of guys, never bring your significant other and bring cash. The only thing I can tell you is this, never drink Hurricanes for breakfast then go on a gator tour. You may or may not puke in the boat and have a mother tell their child, “that’s why you don’t drink mommy’s juice.” I love this city but it takes years off of your life.
