The Kraft Monarchy ruined the dynasty

It looks as though the tea is starting to be spilled on just how messed up the New England Patriots were behind the scenes and in my opinion it’s painting the picture as though the Kraft’s demanded more respect for winning those 6 Super Bowls, not Tom Brady and Bill Belichick.

Seth Wickersham briefly touched on it and it doesn’t paint a very kind picture about the Krafts. “Belichick had sent clear signals internally for weeks that he thought he was coaching his final games for the Patriots,” Wickersham and Thompson wrote. “He also made it clear that he was ready to move on, telling confidants that Robert Kraft and his son, team president Jonathan Kraft, had eroded the culture he had built over two decades.”

“Criticisms reportedly came from the other direction, too. According to Wickersham and Thompson, Robert Kraft openly mocked Belichick in recent years and put him down “at every opportunity.” Similarly, Jonathan Kraft apparently was “brutal” to Belichick and campaigned for his departure toward the end of the 2022 campaign.”

So the Kraft’s killed the Patriots way and forced Bill Belichick out. They wanted to change the philosophy in the building and make it the Kraft way.

I was looking forward to the day Jonathan took over this franchise due to his father being old and out of touch but now as a Patriots fan, I fear for the worst when he succeeds his father. He seems as he is power hungry and wants the attention and the wins all on him and if you disagree you’ll be shown the door.

The Jerod Mayo hiring all makes sense now. If he works out they can say that it was their idea and if/when it doesn’t they can say Bill ruined him.

Since 2020 I’ve seen the Krafts pull the “it wasn’t me, don’t blame me, it was them”. Like a typical juvenile at recess when the teacher just simply asked, what happened?

2024 better work out in a positive direction because if it doesn’t the New England Patriots may just turn in to the Las Vegas Raiders and have a revolving door of coaches coming in and out.
