The Best in the World has come home
The second biggest PLE of WWE was Saturday night and boy oh boy did it not disappoint. Survivor Series has had it share of surprises and returns in the past but on paper, the 2023 version has to be put at the top. From the women’s war game match that had Sasha … i’m sorry Mercedes Monè being teased since they kept dropping numerous amounts of 4 horse women references. The return of R Truth with his comedic return with Tazawa. Randy Orton will he show or won’t he show, to him stealing the show with an RKO from the top of the cage it was an A+ show that Triple H just nailed. But then out of no where Triple H did this……
Chicago’s own CM Punk returns to the WWE after nearly 10 years. Never say never when it comes to the wrestling business. The roof nearly exploded when “Cult of Personality” hit and finally a secret that no one expected happened right in front of all of our eyes. Three people knew about the signing and that was Triple H, Nick Khan, and CM Punk. In the internet day nothing is a secret. The dirt sheets find stuff out and drop in on for clicks. Everyone hoped this would happen but no one knew it was going to happen.
Now reports coming out this morning is that everyone in the main event knew CM Punk was coming back… including Seth Rollins who put on a work that deserves an Oscar. It’s setting up a showdown at the Royal Rumble and is all built around this one singular interview from a few years ago.
Wrestling has been fire with the AEW vs WWE war with both companies trying to out do one another and all it does it makes the product that much better and has the fans invested like its the late 90’s.
The biggest thing that all fans need to highlight or put next to Triple H’s name running the show now is that he and Nick Khan are listening to the fans, something Vince McMahon never did. He was out trying to get huge free agents here like Jay White, Will Ospreay, to getting Jade Cargrill, Cody Rhodes, Brian Pillman Jr., and now the best in the world CM Punk. 2024 is still over a month away but what will happen next from both companies is sure to make any fan excited.
