It’s the end of the road

How the hell did we get to this point. I know that the New England Patriots had a run that we will never see again. But how did we just go from 100 mph to hitting a brick wall?

Simple, Robert Kraft picked the wrong person. Like any bad marriage you can see the writing on the wall. Tom Brady and Bill Belichick hated each other towards the end of Tom’s stint in New England. With any bad marriage you have to pick a side and Robert Kraft chose to keep Bill and hope Tom didn’t have anything left in the tank……WRONG! Not only did Brady have something in the tank but also a ton of spite he wanted to shove down the doubters throats and also Robert’s and Bill’s. Winning a Super Bowl and playing at that top level while the Patriots and Bill went with Cam Newton. That was the first sign Robert was wrong.

After the Cam and covid year Robert demanded change and Bill was forced to draft Mac Jones with the 15th pick and from all accounts Bill was pissed. For the first time in a long time, other members of the Patriots were telling Bill who to draft. Robert had pie in his face after letting Brady go and win a Super Bowl else where, and Robert yearned for that success he had with Tom. What we all have learned is that Mac Jones isn’t Tom Brady. What we also learned is Mac is fraud who strived at Alabama due to the formal Nick Sabin has there.

With Robert still yearning for a star Quarterback, Robert himself came out and told the media that Meek Miller talked to Lamar and said he wants to be a Patriot. The owner of the team is saying, “hey, my rapper friend is telling me a former mvp and current free agent wants to play for us. But that’s not up to me….” So come out to say this and don’t have egg on your face. If they get Lamar it’s a success because Robert got the ball rolling. If they don’t (which we didn’t) well it’s not my fault I’m not the GM.

So to start the 2023 season we have all the writing on the wall, if this doesn’t work it’s time for change but was it at QB or at coach? 10 weeks later and at 2-8 we all know the what the answer is. Mac is not starting Quarterback material. The last throw against the Colts was atrocious and his final nail in the coffin. We also know Bill doesn’t have it. Even if you strip him of his GM duties, he still can’t develop young talent. When we have a top 3 pick and draft who ever it may be, do you think Bill can develop and make said player a pro bowler? Nope! It’s time for Bill to go as GM and coach. The Patriot way died when Tom Brady went to Tampa.

Mac Jones and Bill Belichick will be some where else next year and when Belichick breaks the all time wins record in 3 years with another franchise, we will all be looking at the one person that was responsible for the demise of this franchise. Robert Kraft

If we are starting fresh then maybe in 2024 it’s time for Jonathan to take full ownership of this team since his father is the majority reason this team crumbled like it did.
