At dinner time last night Adam Schefter broke news that Matthew Stafford and the Detroit Lions are parting ways. At first I was pumped, what a guy to get on this team. A quick releasing quarterback who threw for 4,084 yards 26 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. After playing for a loser franchise like the Lions it would be a breath of fresh air for Stafford to come to New England and see what its like playing for a winning organization. But, looking into it more I don’t think Stafford is the play. The Patriots brought back Matt Patricia earlier this week and being Matthew Stafford’s former head coach, I don’t see this being a destination for Stafford.

The San Francisco 49ers came out an hour later saying they are interested in Stafford. Kyle Shanahan is very open about the fact that he never wanted Jimmy Garoppolo and that he doesn’t think he could win with him. If the Lions and 49ers make this trade I don’t see Jimmy G being apart of it. The Lions have the 7th pick and if they can get more draft capitol from the Niners they could move up and draft one of the top college quarter backs in the draft this year. For the 49ers you need to get rid of Jimmy now.

After trading him for a 2nd round pick and getting shit on by all of New England here comes Belichick. At 29, Jimmy G has had his shares of highs and low. Going to a Super Bowl and losing was a high. The outlook was here comes the next dynasty in the NFC, sadly we were wrong. Jimmy G can’t stay healthy and the organization is looking to move on now. Bill gives up a 3rd round pick and here we go. Jimmy Garoppolo will be our starting quarterback for the 2021 season. Think about it, what better way to say fuck you to Tom then win a championship with the guy that should have replaced you years ago. NFL 2021:full circle
