PROS / CONS / OBSERVASTIONS From a Week 13 kick in the dick
Editor’s note: Against teams with similar talent the games are won and lost in the margins by coaching. This team has lost every close game in the margins because of coaching. They lack a plan, philosophy, identity, guts, and brains. All in the name of “Rebuilding”. Every Patriot fan should be worried about the future of this franchise in Jerod Mayo’s hands and by extension, The Kraft’s. Especially since it looks like you’ve found a quarterback to mask a lot of those flaws who will inevitably be let down by the leadership. Shame on all their houses!
Observation- The Patriots managed to lose a game in which they led in total 1st downs, total plays run, total yards, yards per play, rushing yards, passing yards, sacks, time of possession, fat offensive coordinators, turnovers forced, and oh yeah penalties. As usual, untimely penalties, coaching errors and player miscues culminated in the most embarrassing loss of the season. This is the sort of game that should get coaches fired.
Con- Red Zone Offense- This is where the game was lost. 2-6 in the red zone. A missed 20-yard FG attempt. A dropped TD pass which was intercepted. A penalty that took a TD off the board. Their lack of talent is evident when the field shrinks. The WR's are unable to win their matchups; and play calls get vanilla. It appears to be a requirement for a New England linemen to hold in the red zone as well.
Observation- They were able to move the ball effectively; out gaining the colts 422 to 253. However, they are not able to move the ball or have effective plays calls in the red zone or in any critical situations. They clam up and lose the ability to be a functioning offense. They had the ball on the 48 after the Gonzalez pick and they run, run, sack. Losers. Weak loser mentality. Mayo is a cunt.
Con- They came out unprepared on defense as usual. Covington gets exposed week over week. His defense loses the game on a 19 play 80 yard drive which was capped off with a 2 point conversion to seal it. No answers for the qb run down the stretch. Whole stadium new is was coming.
Pro- They finally have the bye week; so we don't have to subject ourselves to this next week. Also, the trend continues. Anthony Richardson is a lesbian it appears so we held him in check. 12-24 109 yards 2 TD, 2 INT
