Positive’s For The Patriots 2024
Was going to be funny and just say nothing but that’s the negativity that my wife tells me I need to shed. So what is there to look forward to for this season.
Drake Maye
Like it or not, Drake will be playing this season. He outshined Jacoby Brissett this preseason and got better with every snap. I am one of those guys that doesn’t want him to see the field this season. Have him redshirt learn the system and unleash him next year but after seeing Brissett hurt his shoulder and Mayo still not announcing a QB1, I feel like Maye will start sooner rather than later. Hope he stretches before every game because he is going to be scrambling with that O-Line.
2. Christian Gonzalez
The 2023 17th overall selection started off hot last year before being injured. What does year 2 look like for our CB1? He had a roller coaster of a preseason with highs and lows. Can he take that next step in being a lockdown corner or will he have to knock some rust off. Either way we get to see him go up against Ja’Marr Chase week 1 which will give us some answers. The only problem is I feel like the defense will be on the field a lot this season due to the offense going 3 and out.
3. Rhamondre Stevenson
The man that Alex Van Pelt will put the work load on. I feel that after every athlete that gets paid they usually don’t play as hard the following year. Will Rhamondre do that or even finish the season healthy with the run oriented scheme that AVP runs. With a carousel of running backs at his disposal I feel like they will run Stevenson until he can’t run any longer. Which is good because he strived with that after Damien Harris left the team.
