Pennsylvania Sports Fans At Their Finest
Not 1, but 2 Pennsylvania sports fans are making headlines for all the wrong reasons. First we head to the NHL where the Pittsburgh Penguins are home to take on the Tampa Bay Lightning. A puck gets stuck in the netting and a kid, let me state that again, a kid tries to free it to take it home as a souvenir. Once the kid gets it free it falls and this guy or should I say, this grumpy old man snags it and instead of giving it to the kid, gives it to his grand daughter who looks to be in her 20’s.
Fans did not like this, chanting at the guy to give up the puck to the kid. Well, Grumpy Gus wasn’t having it and wouldn’t budge. It was deep in the 2nd period when one of the players wives, who is still unnamed, went and got a puck from her husbands locker room and hand delivered it to the young boy, who as you can see was elated!
Well, just like the Grinch, Grumpy Gus did not want to see any happiness from this kid or the fans that were booing him mercilessly. He proceeded to get up and yell at the guy who near him and then the kids mother.
Which looks like he wasn’t apologizing but being even more of a dick since it looked like she was about to clock him. That didn’t stop the old man for telling Penguins fans what he thinks of the situation.
The Penguins security did the right thing because at the top of the stairs where Grump Gus was being brought to by an usher was a Pittsburgh police officer who escorted Grumpy Gus out of the arena.
But what could be worse than that?
Meet Ryan Caldwell. An Eagles fan and from what I’ve gathered, a former business analyst at BCT Partners. Why is that important? Because what this guy did at the game got him fired from his job.
Let me start this off by saying I’ve been to Philadelphia for an Eagles game. Every story you hear about how Eagles fans are mean, throw stuff at you, heckle you from start to finish is all true. So this was not surprising see this story pop up that an Eagles fan was harassing the visiting teams fans. But after watching the video and seeing how this woman, yes this man, Ryan Caldwell, was harassing a woman, for cheering when the Packers scored as she thought, and then proceeded to tell her, “he was down at the 1, dip shit!” He then says, “you dumb cunt” several times where her fiancée steps in and tells Ryan to stop calling his fiancée a cunt. Ryan ignores the advice and continues to harass this woman.
The beauty of the internet and camera phones is that you can easily identify people and where they work, or for Ryan’s case, where he now previously worked. After the video went viral and hundreds of emails and phone calls were placed to BCT Parters, Ryan was fired.
Stay classing, Pennsylvania. Where you have some of the worst fans in all of sports.
