No No Drama, Red Sox Don’t Need No Drama
After a weekend of celebrating for a tremendous offseason, something Red Sox fans haven’t seen in quite a while, it seems we have drama with our star 3rd baseman, Rafael Devers.
Devers took to the microphone to talk to the media about the upcoming season and if he was willing to move to DH now that Alex Bregman is here. He flat out said no and also said no to the idea of moving to 1st base. He then let his interpreter speak since he forgot how to speak English or got really pissed and was in full blown Spanish temper mode. “THIRD BASE IS MY POSITION!”
Rafael Devers is one of the worst defensive 3rd basemen in MLB. Alex Bregman is a gold glove third baseman. Let me ask you, if you were Alex Cora who would you want at 3rd? Answer- Alex Bregman. So, now we have a disgruntled star player who sucks at his position, refuses to move because he’s owed that position. But what if…..
If there was a star 1st baseman in your division who has been linked to the Red Sox, who didn’t come to an extension with the Blue Jays and will be a free agent this November. What if you flipped Devers for Vlad Jr. ?
