News broke last night/early this morning that the Red Sox and Alex Bregman agreed to a 3 year $120 million dollar deal. Having Bregman as your starting 2nd baseman, here is the potential opening day lineup.

Lots of question marks, starting with short stop and Trevor Story, who is a health concern since joining this team. He’s only played in 163 games in 3 seasons and at 32 years old, can and will he stay healthy.

Can the youth movement continue to get better? Duran, Abreu, and Casas are the future for this team and what Sox management have been holding out for. They know they have home grown stars, will this be the year management gives us the bird and says, “I told you so!”

Adding pieces to the rotation with Walker Buehler and everyone’s new favorite player on the Sox, Richard “Dick” Fitts (no, I will never be mature) and trading for another crazy Chicago White Sox left handed pitcher, Garrett Crochet, this rotation has been upgraded and given a face lift. If the youth movement of Bello, Houck, and Crawford all take a step in the right direction, the rotation that ranked 17th with a 4.01 ERA will surely be better, let’s just hope they have a big enough lead so we don’t let the wife beater costs us any games….

Is this a playoff team? With Alex Cora managing this team, in my opinion, yes they will be playing baseball in October.
