Mike Vrabel Patriots Head Coach

It’s official, Mike Vrabel put pen to paper and is the New England Patriots head coach. There is a bunch of reasons why this is a great hire.

First and foremost, Mike Vrabel has already done the job, he has head coaching experience where he took Ryan Tannehill (yes that fucking bum) and the Tennessee Titans to the number 1 seed in the AFC. He can take chicken shit and make chicken soup.

He will have experience around him.

The second worst secret in the NFL is that Vrabel will be bringing Josh McDaniels with him to be his offensive coordinator. Everyone was worried about Drake Maye rolling in to year 2 with a new OC. Josh McDaniels will make Drake succeed and have a huge jump in year 2. He can also help the wide receiver room where he will scheme to their strengths unlike AVP and Mayo.

The other name that keeps popping up for defensive coordinator.

Robert Saleh, great DC and also like Vrabel and McDaniels, has head coaching experience. If….. when these three are together it will be a bright light shinning through the dark clouds that Mayo and company brought to Gillette Stadium.

The last piece of the puzzle that needs to be put in place is a new GM. Ryan Cowden, is the name that Vrabel wants, he almost landed the Steelers vacant GM job and previously was player personnel executive for the Tennessee Titans. A whole new regime that has a lot of potential will make New England Patriots fans happy along with the most cap space in the NFL offseason and an owner who doesn’t want to have another losing season. Things are looking very bright in New England.
