It’s Memorial Day Weekend and I Will Be In All Weekend Thanks To Sports

Memorial Day weekend, the unofficial start to summer. Used for cookouts and parties to start off the nice weather and get back to normal. Well not for this guy, and not for Boston Sports fans. What a jam packed weekend for playoffs and ppv events. Saturday night 8 pm the Boston Bruins start round 2 against the New York Islanders at home to a packed house for the first time since the pandemic started 440 days, fucking crazy!!! We had a text chain with an over under on arrests in Boston tonight.

Sunday the Celtics look to shock the world again when the play the Brooklyn Nets at 7pm. Again, the first time since the pandemic we will have a packed house. If Kyrie thought the boo birds were loud Friday, think again. If the Bruins win Saturday the momentum going to the Garden on Sunday will have the fans jazzed up and will boo him back to Brooklyn. Also, hopefully Tatum uses the fans to propel his game again. I’m not asking for 50 but a strong performance to show you are the superstar of the future in this league.

Also on Sunday night, AEW Double or Nothing live from Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida it will also be at full capacity, something wrestling just like sports has been missing since the pandemic. A very stacked card, as one of their bigger PPV events of the year. This is the same show that Jon Moxley (Dean Ambrosse) debuted for the company so this is where you could see some new debuting wrestlers. Here is the lineup,

-The Casino Battle Royale for a shot at the AEW Championship. This match is like the Royal Rumble with a few tweaks but a great way to start the show. -

-Adam Hangman Page vs Brian Cage.

-One of the more cringeworthy matches is Scropio Sky and Ethan Page taking on Darby Allin and Sting. It’s cringeworthy for the fact that Sting is in his 60’s now and while in WWE had a career ending neck injury that forced him to retire but now is in a big PPV match. I don’t get it, for a company that is trying to have a better product than WWE, having a guy like this with his limited bumps this will be ugly.

-Cody Rhodes takes on Anthony Ogogo.

-TNT Championship Match, Miro (Rusev in the WWE) takes on Lance Archer.

-AEW Tag Team Championship, Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston take on The Young Bucks. This could be the match that steals the show all 4 are great performers and will just elevate each other in this match.

-Stadium Stampede Match, The Pinnacle vs The Inner Circle. AEW has done a lot of gimmick matches back from the early NWA/WCW days that Cody’s dad Dusty Rhodes came up with so hopefully this one comes out great but has a chance to be a disaster.

-AEW Championship, Orange Cassidy vs Pac vs the champion THE CLEANER KENNY OMEGA. Two of my favorite wrestlers in the same match with Orange Cassidy and Kenny Omega. Orange Cassidy is the underdog story going in. He wears jeans, t shirt, jean jacket and sunglasses and has a meh approach. It’s funny but he can also wrestle. Kenny Omega is one of the best wrestlers in the world. If you have never watched a Kenny match just youtube him he is fucking amazing.
