Celtics in SIX
“It’s best of seven your fucking casual!”
That’s the joke dick heads. And here’s why. If the Celtics take this series to six games and give us 2 packed houses at the TD Garden for Celtics games I’ll be happy. I guess.
This season has been such a nut check guy check. It’s made us hate this team, re evaluate their talent and expectations, and even (GASP) mention trading Jayson Tatum. (Allow me to remind you that that kind of talk was happening while Tatum was acting like someone stole his cookies on the court and no one would let him crop dust his Dukieness anymore.) Still, the Tatum talk was over stated.
Of course his most recent audition into the Celtics for Life club came on Friday night with an insane 50 burger on the Nets all the while shoving his buddy and world renowned Ass Hat, Kyrie Irving, in a locker. Tatum was the best player on the court that included two former MVP’s in KD and Harden who each were also unconscious. No, Tatum is here to stay. The question is what can they do around him moving forward. Because in order for the Celtics to win this series in six, Tatum is going to have to drop 50 again tonight. My question? Can he?
Hasn’t this been the issue all season? When Tatum is hitting shots he is engaged and locked in. He’s the best player on the court. Not just scorer. He’s developed into an all around outstanding "budding” Super Star. And yes, he still gets the “budding” title because we saw too many stretches this season where his shot was not falling and he fell back into the “where are my cookies” mentality. I do believe he is quickly getting there. By there I mean Super Star status. Where even in a night he 3 - 15 he’s elevating his team in other ways and he’s still the biggest threat to win the game in the 4th.
This dude is 24. If his development has gotten this far this quick I really do not doubt he will add this next part of his game just as fast. Jayson, could you find it this afternoon?
