Is Bill Belichick taking a page out of Ainge’s playbook?

The big NFL news today is that JJ Watt signed a $31 million dollar deal with $23 million dollars guaranteed to play for the Queen’s Arizona Cardinals. Silly move in my mind for a guy that wants to win a championship to go and play in one of the toughest divisions in the NFL. But that is a story for another day. My biggest problem is that the report that came out saying that the Patriots called the Watt camp to gage interest but couldn’t work out the money. Bill, you were 7-9 last year, you have a shit ton of cap space, for the love of god go get talent to make this team great again.

Are we going to get reports that Bill was in on all the top named free agents but just couldn’t come to terms on money. Sounds exactly like Danny Ainge and the Celtics philosophy. Guys, we tried but hey they went a different way. I can’t handle this losing and not getting guys like we used too. The players that would die to play for this team are long gone. This team is back to being mediocre 7-9 and 8-8 will be this teams record year after year now. Please stop being cheap and spend that cash to get those elite players. All of New England begs of you.
