Why communicate it when you have FIVE whole days until the season starts?
The biggest question going into the season was who would be the starting QB for the New England Patriots? Most believed it would be journey man Jacoby Brissett as a mentor to the new young #3 over all pick. He would keep the seat warm with his medicore uninspiring play until the young stallion was ready. Welp, all it took was a quarter and a half of football for everyone to bust that nut.
Drake Maye has turned the slow play plan on it’s head for a majority of Patriots fans, but it seems not enough for his coaching staff to name him starter? Or is it?
"I would say one thing: I think it's important to remember, what's good for the team today may not be good for the team weeks down the line," Mayo said on Wednesday. "And so, I think the challenge is you want to win every single game now, but also we're trying to build something special here in New England. So that, to me, was a challenge."
So, clearly what Coach Vibes is saying here is “I want Maye. The Players want Maye, but I have no spine and we have no offensive line.” Off to the slaughter you go Jacoby.

His attempting to please everyone while being so transparent in an attempt to be anti Belichick he’ll have coaching fighting coaches and blaming upper management with upper management going behind the staff’s back while players get annihilated on the field and quit off the field. Who’s idea was it to say we picked a QB but won’t tell you until tomorrow? It’s JV shit, man. These tools down at Foxboro have given us no reason to think they have a clue. At every turn at the Mircophone someone says something so dumb you just shake your head.
What the hell did he just say? Jerod Mayo, please learn the media are not your friends. Grow a set.
"Look, they've gone through the process as well. They've gone through the spring with these players, they've gone through training camp with these players," Mayo said. "I'm sure they all have an opinion on who should be the starting quarterback, but I don't think I have to explain it to anyone else. It's my decision, and if it doesn't work, blame me."
