It was refreshing to see the changing of the guard in the Celtics front office. Through his time with the Celtics Danny Ainge fleeced the other GM’s and couldn’t get a deal done at the end. He would store away these draft picks like they were the next Michael Jordan. Seeing Brad take the job I was a little worried. A man that had never had this position getting thrown into it with two of your superstars looking for a change and the right pieces around them to help them flourish. Tough task.

His first move was getting rid of Kemba and bringing back an old friend in Al Horford. Celtics fans rejoiced. This is what we needed to get rid of. These guys that are injured or way down on the bench or just can’t play. A+ job for Brad in his first move. The other move was getting Josh Richardson for Moses Brown another nice piece‚ but today is August 3rd 7:00 pm and Brad hasn’t done anything. He is basically freeing up enough cash so he can go get a max guy either this year or next off-season (Bradley Beal).

The free agents that are legit super stars are huge for 2022. KD, Kyrie, Harden, Beal, Wall, Westbrook, Kemba. Out of those guys the only real guy you can get is Beal. KD, Kyrie and Harden won’t come here because Boston is a “racist” city. Westbrook just signed on to be LeBron’s bitch. John Wall‚ meh I am all set with that. So‚ all that leaves you in Bradley Beal. As a Celtics fan I am nervous. Brad is at the roulette wheel and has put all his chips on red hoping and praying that he gets lucky enough to make this all work. The problem is the house always wins and the chips are not in their court.

We will see if friendship matters and if he really and truly wants to play with his friend Jayson Tatum. I just don’t like the odds and I’ve seen this play out as a Celtics fan time and time again. Get excited‚ think we will have a change to compete‚ and BAM! You are mediocre again.
