Dr. BigMac’s NFL Power Rankings
As we head in to the halfway point of the season, one thing is true, it truly is anyone’s season this year. You can not look at one team and say it’s there’s for the taking. The injury bug has run rampant over the NFL this year and teams must adjust to make it to February. Let’s dive in at my midseason power rankings.
10. Philadelphia Eagles 4-2 (not ranked)
Welcome back, Philly! Have they found their identity or is it just playing the Browns and Giants? In the NFL, a win is a win and they are stringing together a streak. Saquon Barkley is running like he was a few years back, the offense is clicking. Only problem for the Eagles is that defense.
9.Chicago Bears 4-2 (9th)
Da Bears! Bye week didn’t hurt them nor did it help them. They stay in the top 10 surprisingly at the half way point of the season.
8. Houston Texans 5-2 (3rd)
What’s up brother☝️Your team moving back in my power rankings. Once the team I thought would be able to throw their nuts on the table and beat the Chiefs come playoff time. Now, looks like a team when playing in a hostile environment can’t handle the pressure. Plus losing my 5 team parlay really pisses me off and makes me push you back a few more spots.
7. Green Bay Packers 5-2 (10th)
It’s fascinating what a QB can do when they sit, learn a system, and a team builds around said young QB. That’s what the Packers did with Jordan Love and it has the Packers playing like a playoff team, not skipping a beat. The defense has gotten a lot better since they aren’t constantly spending money on the offensive side of the ball to make Aaron Rodgers happy anymore.
6. Washington Commanders 5-2 (6th)
New ownership, new franchise QB(?), and hope. That’s what this Commanders team has brought to this fan base and they are thriving. However when you play Carolina and Jayden gets hurt you do not move up in my power rankings.
5. Buffalo Bills 5-2 (8th)
Crown them already! They will be the AFC East champs. There will be a game in Buffalo in January and hopefully Josh Allen has learned not to be blinded by the bright lights when it matters most.
4. Minnesota Vikings 5-1 (2nd)
WHAT A GAME SUNDAY! That had playoff feels to it. Vikings may have lost on a last second field goal to Detroit but they showed that they aren’t a fluke and they are here to compete in a heavy hitting NFC North.
3. Baltimore Ravens 5-2 (5th)
5 in a row. After starting the season with two losses they are now one of the hottest teams in the NFL. Also, everyone’s only hope other than Missouri to beat the Kansas City Chiefs. Like I said about Josh Allen, could this finally be the year where Lamar doesn’t shit down his leg come playoff time.
2. Detroit Lions 5-1 (4th)
Go to a hostile environment and beat an undefeated, divisional opponent. ✔️and ✔️. This isn’t your typical Detroit Lions people. This team is very very good. I know for a fact if you don’t have a dog in the race come playoff time, you may jump on the bandwagon that is the Detroit Lions. They are just absolutely fun to watch.
1.Kansas City Chiefs 6-0 (1st)
Mahomes is playing like shit, they are playing teams that have the injury bug. Fuck this team and someone please beat them.
