The Patriots are now the laughing stock of the NFL
The Super Bowl era Browns, Jags, Lions. Franchises that have notoriously been the laughing stock of the NFL. We can now add the 2024 New England Patriots to this list.
How have we gotten to this point? Once the most prestigious franchise’s that were hated because they just won so much. To now, has a laughable roster, front office and owner in the NFL.
Of course there is some positives with this roster.
Drake Maye. That’s it. Only positive thing about this franchise.
The negatives are too long to list so let’s just break down the top 3.
Jerod Mayo
Coach Vibes. A guy who never earned his stripes. Was handed the keys to the franchise because Robert Kraft didn’t want Bill Belichick here anymore. Jerod Mayo is the guy at work who gets a promotion and no one knows why, but everyone knows he doesn’t have the qualifications for said job.
Jerod never interviewed for the coaching job. Jerod never coached any where other than New England. How could anyone be promoted with this resume? Being a players coach is not working, so is it time to be a hard ass like Bill?
2. Eliot Wolf
Just because your dad is a hall of fame GM, doesn’t mean you will be one. Coming aboard to be the de facto GM for the Patriots and having the most cap space he went on to give us a franchise Left Tackle….. no he didn’t. A franchise Wide Receiver….. no he didn’t. A Corner to play opposite of Christian Gonzalez…..nope. This guy came in and drafted Drake Maye. That’s it. That’s the feather in the cap for Eliot. A guy at number 3 drafted the 3rd best QB in the draft. A no brainer. Call up your dad and ask for help because you are over your head, Eliot.
3. Robert Kraft
As the older he gets the bigger his ego grows. He is the reason for the success of the Patriots for 20 years, just ask him, he will tell you. He chose the wrong person when Bill and Tom were at odds. He chose wrong again when he let Bill go. He had a fan base that is starting to turn on him and a game coming up against the Jets, at home, if we lose will be 7 in a row. Woof! Robert the boo birds are coming and the only person to blame for this Is you. The one thing he should get credit for is ruining the Patriots dynasty.
