Dave Chappelle’s new special on Netflix, “ The Closer” is the best special he has put out. The controversy that it has put out with all the Netflix employees wanting to cancel him just like he predicted in the special makes me wonder, did they even listen to what he had to say or just take bulletin points.

The reason people like Chappelle is because he takes on every race, every gender and every topic out there. No one is safe and he is one of the very last comedians that hasn’t been canceled since everyone gets their feelings hurt and needs someone’s life to be ruined for it. Chappelle comes out and says 16 years ago is when he first got in trouble with the transgender community and since then they think he hates them which is further from the truth, they just don’t like the fact that he is making a living poking fun at their movement.

His last part of the show he talks about a transgender woman who inspired to be a comedian and was always at his shows in San Francisco. How he would tell the jokes you hear today and she would be laughing harder than anyone. He then brings up how for his last special in 2019 he had her open up for him even though she only performed 8 times and not to a crowd like he had for his show. He talks about how she was bad, real bad and that she still sat front row for his set and interacted and had the audience laughing and they were even conversing about the trans community during the show. Dave said she stole the spot light and was so happy for her, 6 days later she killed her self due to the back lash she received opening up for Dave and defending him on twitter. The whole skit came full circle, Dave told a wonderful story that is very funny but also eye opening. These groups don’t care if you are with them or one of them but if you don’t speak the same langue that are you are set aside and bullied until something like this happens. It’s sad cause there is so many things like this now that what he is saying is ya i may not have the same views as you but that doesn’t mean go out and cancel me or ruin someone else’s life to the point they want to end it. If you have an hour and half to watch this show do it, very eye opening, funny, and makes you think afterwards.
