Another Year, another failed WR drafted by Bill Belichick
During the Bill Belichick era in New England there has one thing that every fan can agree on. Belichick and his staff are undefeated at drafting terrible wide receivers. Now before you guys get your muskets and try to take my fat ass down with one shot, he has had luck with a few guys.
2002
Round 2, Pick 65: Deion Branch
Round 7, Pick 253: David Givens
2009
Round 7, Pick 232: Julian Edelman *he was a Quarterback
That’s it. 3 players in 20 plus years under the Bill Belichick era here in New England that you can say were good to great at the position. Let me say that again, 3 WIDE RECEIVERS DRAFTED BY THE PATRIOTS THAT WERE GOOD TO GREAT IN 20 PLUS YEARS. How haven’t they take the necessary steps to fix this because look at this pile of shit they have drafted.

2014
Round 7, Pick 244: Jeremy Gallon
-Didn’t make the roster
2016
Round 4, Pick 112: WR Malcolm Mitchell
Round 7, Pick 225: WR Devin Lucien
-Malcolm had promise but injuries derailed his career and was retired after just 2 seasons
2018
Round 6 Pick 210: WR Braxton Berrios
-Waived after his rookie season and now plays for the Jets
2019
Round 1, Pick 32: N’Keal Harry
-Fuck this guy
And now let’s just add the newest name of bust wide receivers drafted by the New England Patriots. Tyquan Thornton.
After coming off college and being touted as the fastest man alive.
With 22 catches for 247 yards and 2 Touchdowns everyone thought this off-season with Bill O’Brien coaching the offense that Tyquan’s stock would be rising…… Wrong
After joint practices the last two days before the first preseason game against the Houston Texans, a lot of reports are coming out that Tyquan has taken a huge step back and could be the newest New England Bust. Ouch.
Hopefully it’s just a little preseason rust but who are we kidding. He will be a bust and that will be one less weapon for Mac to have going into 2023. There’s not enough High Noons for me to drink this season to numb the pain of watching this offense
