A happy Mac, a happy season?

2022 is behind us with that mediocre 8-9 record and even the most fair weather football fan could tell that Mac Jones was not a happy man last year. From arguments with the walking nut sacks, Matt Patrica and Joe Judge, to not being respected by Bill Belichick for calling a certain college offensive coordinator for advice and help. The Patriots 2022 team could have easily been a guest on the Jerry Springer (RIP King) for the amount of backstabbing, shit talking, and disfunction. But that was last year, we are on to 2023.

The old marriage saying about a happy wife, is a happy life could not ring more true for Mac Jones. He got his offensive coordinator in Bill O’Brien and now reports out of the early start of OTA’s is that he doesn’t even have to talk to the head coach, Bill Belichick. From this vantage point Mac Jones is that spoiled little brat who made a scene at a Wal-Mart and when he got home, instead of being punished his mother went on amazon and got him whatever he wanted just as long as he doesn’t do that shit again. So what else would make young Mac happy?

Maybe another new shinny toy that is coming in for a visit this week. Would the signing of Deandre Hopkins be the feather in the cap for Mac this season. Possibly, but also it could be the cookie that breaks the camels back.

Bill Belichick is a big spite guy (that’s why i’ll always be team Bill) and if you give the young spoiled kid everything he wants that he needs to succeed and fails miserably it could be mean the end of Mac Jones here and Bill moving on from a quarterback he never wanted in the first place. Here’s to 2023 and hoping that I don’t fall asleep on the couch by halftime because of the boring product being played on the field.
