Who set the rules for pick up basketball?

Here I am, in my normal morning shit and phone routine, snoopin’ and poopin’ when I run across a video of “The Professor” from the AND 1 mix tapes back in the day. He’s playing some pick up on an extremely well maintained clean court. Not what I would call a bonafide street court. The 14 year old in me really hopes Professor hasn’t gone all Hollywood. That would tarnish some ill advised narratives of a “hero”

So any way it got me thinking. These guys decide to play to 7. Who the fuck decided on the odd numbers in pick up basketball? Like any rational minded human when it comes to a numbers I go evens. And when forced out of a sane way of thinking I at least fall on a variable 5’s. So who in their infinite wisdom picked game to 7, 11, or 21? And don’t give me this odd number of possession nerd bullshit.

Okay I got that off my chest. Hot Sauce baby.
