Get ready to trade down from the #3 pick in the draft for a dozen 3rd and 4th round value adds. Another scrap pile quarterback surrounded by solid, but expensive veterans this time. The Krafts will be forced to spend money this off season, but Bill still picks the groceries. The defense can’t go untouched. He bolster’s the secondary and d-line. LB play will remain slow, but able to fill gaps. He’ll play nice on offense and sign some Hunter Henry types. O’Brien will be allowed to bring in a couple of his guys and have a smidge more freedom to operate. The honeymoon period will allow the team to inch worm towards offensive relevance in 2024 and the team will crawl back to mediocrity with 7 or 8 wins. We will be right back in this position next year whether Bill should stay or not, except he’ll only be 7 wins away from Shula’s record and the Mayo plan is back in play.
