Kraft needs to make a Hall of Fame Decision

Robert Kraft is petrified of not making the Pro Football Hall of Fame as an NFL owner. He thinks he deserves it, he probably does, but he’s shell shocked from the Brady decision so bad he’s hesitating on the Belichick decision. In reality. It’s an easy call to make. Just like putting the ring on it, Bob!

On the surface he and many others see it as firing one of if not the greatest coach of all time. That’s a tough one to put on the resume after making the wrong call on Brady and letting him walk out the door to win a Super Bowl with Tampa Bay. In hindsight of course that was the wrong call, but you’re lieing to yourself if at the time it wasn’t as close to a 50/50 call as you could get between keeping Bill or Tom. So, sure that will be held against him a bit. I guess. In 10 years none of it will be held against any of them; Tom. Kraft, or Belichick, but I digress.

The call with Bill is easy. He is 72 years old. He’s struggled since Brady left and in the past 2 seasons has allowed or instigated a detrition of the football operations into complete dysfunction. The have the #3 pick in the draft and the reasons for that are almost soley on Bill Belichick. I say almost, because the quarterback is a big reason for the failure and Mac Jones is widely considered a Robert Kraft draft pick. But, lets not fool ourselves with the petulance in which Belichick handled the Mac Jones situation. That kid was set up to fail out of spite. And the repercussions of that is the worst season the Krafts have ever seen as owners of the team. That sentence alone is justification enough for the firing, but we don’t live in a vacuum. Nine Super Bowl Appearances, six titles, and 20 years of dominance lay heavy on the crown. That’s why it’s a Hall of Fame decision to cut the cord.

The peacful call is to give Bill his flowers and let him live out his days in Foxboro. It’s time to be bold. Show that you recognize it’s time to move on. The writing is on the wall, the car, the bathroom stalls, it’s freaking everywhere. It’s over. Still, it’s a hard call. Make it. And make the right call on the next guy. Rebound strong and the decision to fire the greatest coach of all time starts to look like Chess not Checkers.
