Aaron Rodgers is the most over rated player of his generation
Is Aaron Rodgers torn achilles his fault? Ya. Ya, it’s his fault. The first time this dude stepped on a football field this year he strained his calf. The second time he stepped on the field he blew his achilles. What precautions were done in between with him and his so called health guru? Smokin’ weeds in a dark bathroom in the desert?
It’s just so typical for the Aaron Rodgers legacy to be at a new fever pitch as he extended his career in New York just like his predecessor. But, instead of make the Jets somewhat relevant for a cup of coffee he literally collapsed upon himself.
Rodgers is consistently called one of the greatest QB’s of all time. Talent wise? Sure. But, so was Warren Moon. There are a shit ton of names we can throw in that conversation based on skill. Aaron Rodgers made it to ONE superbowl while blowing numerous opportunities to get back to the big game.
Rodgers as the starting QB for the Packers missed the playoffs 6 of the 15 seasons he held that position. He is 12 - 10 in playoff games. He is 0 - 4 in his last NFC Championship games. Years 2019, 2020, and 2021 the Packers finished with 13 wins. Superbowl favorites for many and never got close. In 2011 they could have gone undefeated in the regular season, but took week 17 off and finished 15-1. Then Rodgers lost their first playoff game in the divisional round. Take your 4 MVPs and massive statistics and shove em. The QB position is about winning. Rodgers did not win. He repeatedly came up short.
By definition Rodgers is overrated. The results bare out a high level of underachievement while the narrative has hime as one of the greatest QBs of all time. Some will still even consider him the best ever over guys like Brady, Peyton, Montana. It’s insane. I challenge anyone to come up with another player so highly touted who has come up short as often as Aaron Rodgers. There isn’t one. There fore he is forever now forward considered the Most Overrated NFL Player of his Generation. Maybe ever?
