2nd Most Cap Space and a Disaster at Wide Receiver STILL

A story as old as time. The New England Patriots have cap space to make a splash and help out their Quarterback at the Wide Receiver position and our GM, Bill Belichick, refuses to spend that kind of money on a talent that would make this team a playoff contender and possibly a division winner.

Deandre Hopkins is still not signed but news broke yesterday that the Tennessee Titans are being more aggressive in the pursuit of the 31 year old receiver. With the longer he is unsigned more teams will be in the mix like the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills. Both teams are working on extensions on key players to free up cap space for Deandre, who could ultimately go ring chasing at that point and still get paid.

Bill Belichick isn’t doing Mac Jones any favors at this point. From bringing in Matt Patricia and Joe Judge last year to not going out and getting key additions to this team to help the 3rd year Quarterback. What is Bill saving the money for? Obviously injuries happen but he could still go out and get Hopkins and have enough left over for an injury.

Here’s to another season that Patriots could have, should have signed that key guy but didn’t and he went to the eventual Super Bowl winner.
