The Bruins have a new captain

Jake DeBrusk has rescinded his trade request. As we all know Bruce Cassidy was fire in large part because of his “lack of ability to relate to younger players". And wouldn’t you know it. Cassidy is out the door so Jakey stays put. Let’s set the record straight. Don Sweeney fired Bruce Cassidy because watching another failed 1st round pick flame out was just going to be too much to hand.

Jake DeBrusk, the prized piece of the infamous 2015 draft was threatening to leave Boston because Cassidy was just too hard on him. So instead of blowing out the little boy and his tears, the GM fires the coach that never missed the playoffs, had a top 4 win % in franchise history, and was a Tuukka Rask fart away from bringing them the Stanley Cup. Way to keep your priorities straight.

So what we’re saying here is the lack of young talent on this Bruins team is not the GM’s atrocious draft record or the multitude of 1st round picks shipped out the door each year to cover up that lack of draft aptitude, it’s because the coach was a Meany. Got it.

I got bad vibes about this Bruins team. Even with Bergeron coming back, Pasternak is still up in the air, Marchand and McAvoy are out for a huge chunk of the season. Your still don’t have a 2nd line center and oh ya the young talent still sucks. I guess that’s all going to change now that the Bum Cassidy is gone. Hey, at least we have Jake DeBrusk to strap the team on his back. If nothing else we can always rely on his steadfast leadership. Can’t rattle this young bull.
