Just like anything in life, when something is going sooo well something has to come and fuck it all up. Rob Williams has played his best basketball, even getting consideration for Defensive Player of the Year. He is that spark that we all knew needed to be ignited for this team to take the next step. In 61 games he is averaging 10PPG 9.7RPG and 2 Assists and with all the good comes a torn meniscus. Celtics running on all cylinders even being tied for 1st in the East then this news and out HOPEFULLY 4-6 weeks. Green Teamers are beside themselves because they know Time Lord will be out of the 1st round with the timetable, so they are playing the seed game and I am not about that at all.
You play to win the game, its that simple. For fans to come out and say we should lose here, and win there so we can get a favorable matchup is the dumbest take any Celtics fan could ever have. If you play sports at any level you know that when you’re winning, playing well, playing as a team that confidence goes through the roof. You have that big swinging dick walk in your step. That’s how I want this team to go into the playoffs, I don’t care if you get Brooklyn or Toronto give me any team in the East. Beat the best to be the best is how you’re going to go through these playoffs. You think you’ll have an easy matchup for the East finals let alone the finals. Test the Jay’s this is now their team and if we play Miami and roll without Rob then sky is the limit for this team.
This will be the final test to a crazy season, can we take one of our biggest L’s of the season and make it a teaching tool. Next up man up, Daniel Theis isn’t Rob but can he step in and not let a glaring hole in the middle of the floor? Keep rolling don’t take the foot off the pedal, continue the success of this season and get the 1 seed or where ever you fall while playing winning basketball.
