The Celtics are IN on KD, again
Here we go again. The trail of slime Kyrie leaves never seems to go away. The slime involves Jaylen Brown in a trade for Kevin Durant.
Nothing to see here kids. Just a desperate team, the Nets, in a desperate situation. You would think that with the Kyrie move the Nets would want to blow it up and aquire as much for KD as possible. Jaylen Brown would be a good start and honestly they probably pull the trigger on that move. FAT chance Brad Stevens does it.
Jaylen Brown is an All-Star on the verge of all NBA. KD is 10 years older than him nursing yet another leg injury that sidelined him for over a month. He’s still a season away from getting a chance at the super max. He loses that chance at a super max contract if traded. Never mind the fact the Celtics are already defending East champions and own the best record in the NBA. Nope.
The Nets are not looking to tank either though. Latest report has a them flipping Dinwiddie and picks for Fred Van Fleet who is on an expiring deal. The play for the Nets is evidently to stay as competitive as possible. At least for this year. Durant’s trade value aint exactly at an all time high right now. He’s got years left on his deal. The offseason is a better time to move him anyway. Their draft assets aren’t great and they big fucking white overly mental fragile elephant, in Ben Simmons is still taking up close to $40 million on their pay roll for the next three seasons.
So, well done getting some headlines, but Jaylen Brown is staying in Boston. The only deal we better see in Boston is depth on the post and wing. Unless, say the Nets are interested in some steady play from Derrick white and a duo in the splash brothers de blanco with Pritchard and Sammy buckets. I’m just sayin’.
