That was a waste of time

Preseason game 1 is in the books for the New England Patriots and we learned absolutely nothing from it. Jacoby Brissett is your day 1 starter and only saw 1 series that totaled 4 plays.

Drake Maye came in after that with the 1st team offensive line and ran the most vanilla offense these eyes haven’t seen since that walking nut sack, Matt Patricia was calling plays. Maye went 2/3 for 19 yards which were screens to the running back. For someone who needs NFL snaps the Patriots and Coach Vibes are holding off. It seems like this team has zero fucking clue what they are doing and have zero identity.

Bailey fucking Zappe played the most minutes out of all 4 Quarterbacks. We know what Bailey Zappe is, a backup, which you already have one of those so give the two rookies more time out on the field. Speaking of more time, give me more Joe Milton! 4/6 54 yards and a touchdown. If we are going to suck at least let it be a fun suck where you may see him throw a bomb, which we all know he has a cannon. That would be fun.

We saw zilch folks. Next week we play the Philadelphia Eagles in preseason game number 2 and joint practices leading up to that. Maybe we will see/hear reports since joint practices are better than the preseason games.
