TB12

Ive watched this video multiple times today and it still brings a tear to my eye. Tom Brady is the greatest of all time. No one will ever do what he did for as long as he did. The winningest player in NFL history. Everyone wants a 1 day contract for him to sign so he can “retire as a Patriot”. That would be nice but at 1 Patriot Place there should be a building alone dedicated to that man that brought us 6 Super Bowls. The Patriots Hall of Fame is not big enough for him and his legacy he is now leaving behind. Big Jim Murray said it best today on Felger and Mazz, “When they rebuild the lighthouse at Gillette they should put a number 12 on the top because Brady built that house.” Couldn’t agree more. But why should we just stop at Gillette? Roger Goodell should retire Tom Brady’s number throughout the NFL.

Laugh all you want but other leagues have done it for the respected GOATS of the their leagues. The NHL retired Wayne Gretzky’s number 99 throughout the league.

Bill Russell’s number 6 was retired throughout the NBA just this year for all that he did on and off the court.

When you’re drunk with your buddies at a bar and you start a Mount Rushmore for every sport it goes like this.

Bill Russell - 11 NBA titles, two NCAA championships and an Olympic gold medal. Russell played 21 winner-take-all games and went 21-0.

Wayne Gretzky - He had 894 goals, 1,963 assists and a plus-minus of +520 in 1,487 games. He won 9 Hart Trophies, 5 Lady Byng Trophies, 2 Conn Smythe Trophies and 4 Stanley Cups. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1999.

Babe Ruth- 7 time World Series winner

As a hitter: .342/.474/.690, 714 HR, 2,214 RBI, 2873 H, 162.7 bWAR

As a pitcher: 94-46, 2.28 ERA, 488 SO, 1,221 IP, 20.4 bWAR

Tom Brady- Wins: 251 · Pro Bowls: 15 · Super Bowl MVP Awards: 5 and 7 Super Bowls

The best to ever do it.
