They got LUCKY with Drake Maye

In light of Drake Maye flashing the potential needed to be a star quarterback; the Patriots should consider a philosophical change in the organization.  To be clear, blow it out.  The key players in football operations are all unproven and unqualified for the task at hand.  It was Robert Kraft’s decision to take the team down this new road.  On his way he kicked Bill Belichick out of the car and picked up Jared Mayo.   His vision was to build a new organizational identity; which highlights himself as the main driver for that change.

Newsflash. Old people forget stuff all the time.  Do you let Grampy make all the decisions? Nope

He fucked it all up.

Months ago we outlined how every aspect of the plan laid out for the 2024 season by Elliot Wolf had already failed before the season even started, we really did, look it up. Now midway through the season any player drafted by the team, not named Drake Maye, has been a complete disappointment thus far.  There has been no progress from any other draft pick, all bad.  For a self-proclaimed draft and develop team; it’s a complete failure.

To add to the front office failures; they are also the worst coached team in the league.  The Patriots are soft, undisciplined, unimaginative, and have developed a loser culture.  Mayo has no control over the locker room or the product on the field.   Week to week there are numerous coaching points to second guess.  The team has not been set up for success on a week to week basis.  Even the Simple Minds Sports show can see on the all 22's your shit don't make sense.

There is only one thing that has gone well for the team thus far and that is Drake Maye.  And here's the truth about that.  They got LUCKY.  He was the third guy picked.  They didn't do anything special he fell there to them.  And since we can see they how they fucked up every other pick it's clear they just got lucky.  Lucky that he's good enough to succeed through the incompetence thus far and that he's just might be a DUDE.

If they screw him up they won't get lucky again.  Then the Patriots will fall into complete loser territory.  It could real ugly.  This offseason it needs to stabilize.

They need to bring in a staff and front office with a solid reputation of not  fucking it up.  100% football professionals.  Football people that may not have the high end potential but will stabilize the franchise.  While they it may be clear they will not win you the super bowl; they will also never embarrass themselves like we do every week.  Once the ship isn't taking on water anymore then you can start to make the moves behind the scenes to drive high end success once again.

If the Kraft's haven't noticed they turned the team over to kids and they threw a party and crashed the car.  It's time for the adults to come back in the room.   We need a staff that can run a competent football operation.  A GM who's call's will get answered.  A coach who other team's respect.  An OC with a scheme from this decade.  And for gods sake can we make a second round pick work.  It's getting ridiculous.  We're going into a critical offseason.  The team has the assets and means to make a HUGE impact on the roster.  Success in the offseason could immediately translate into wins on the field next season.

The Kraft's need to take their own advice.  In the preseason Robert Kraft said you hire people, empower them to make decisions, then hold them accountable for the results.  It is time to hold them accountable to results.  Luck isn't enough.  Luck isn't enough to gamble your franchise's future on.  Thank them for their time and show them the door.  Maybe try and see if they're is some people that didn't already work for the team you said wasn't good enough in the first place this time.

Just some advice.
