The next players traded by the Patriots may not be a wise move

Wide receiver Kendrick Bourne and wide receiver K.J. Osborn are listed as potential trade candidates, per NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero.

Rapoport and Pelissero believe these two are the most viable candidates for New England to be traded:

While Kendrick Bourne is the receiver who has garnered most of the trade rumors, it would take a large deal to pry him from New England. A more likely trade possibility as a veteran option is Osborn, who is on a one-year deal and has thrived elsewhere.

I’m here to tell you if the Patriots trade any of these players I will not be shedding a tear. I don’t even have words to express how little I care about Tyquan Thorton or his professional football career continuing in New England. Kendrick Bourne on the other hand can be discussed.

Bourne’s extension never made sense for this team. He has been drastically over rated since he got to New England because of the chasm the Patriots have had for WR talent. Coming off a blown ACL it never made sense to reward him for his mediocre play at best. This year in limited snaps after coming back from the injury he has done nothing to change my mind.

KJ Osborn was the Wolf pack’s big free agency splash. Osborn was brought in to weaponize the offense. He has since been benched and leaked text messages from his agent all but saying, “Don’t worry. We’ll rescue you from that pit of despair that is Foxboro Massachusetts. You’ll be rid of Rt 1, packies, and the millionaire tax by November 5th”.

So, good riddance to these twats. I’d rather develop some kids anyway. Here in lies the problem. Who will be left in that WR room to groom these young fellahs? The insubordination and unprofessionalism hit a fever pitch in London. On and off the field we have seen displays from Polk, Douglas, and Boutte that make us shake our heads and murmur “It would never have happened under Belichick” (Although it would. And did.) Javon Baker can’t even get on the field to showcase his ability to drop wide open passes but it didn’t stop him from making off field headlines either. Just as a reminder, here’s the highlights from these young professionals:

  • Demario Douglas pitching a fit on the field. Stomping around like a toddler. Apparently he did not get the memo about Jacoby Brissett. Memo: He blows. In London “Pop” was too “sick” to make it through the whole game. After we learned from Kendrick Bourne that he believed his teammates should learn a bit of professionalism. Not stay out late, prepare for the time difference, and “cough cough” watch what you’re eating. (aka don’t get fucked up at da pub)

  • Jalen Polk told us he has the best hands in the NFL and then dropped every pass thrown his way. Then he dropped the peace sign emoji on instagram in a cagey post which was supposed to mean what? Fuck it I’m out?. A surprising “concussion” kept him out of the game last week.

  • Javon Baker who has yet to hit the field in the regular season because of an inability to grasp a go route was late for curfew in London prompting the Patriots to activate KJ Osborn at 11pm leading to the leaked text message from his agent promising an early season exit from the Common Wealth. Earlier in the year Baker was involved in an incident with Massachusetts State Police at Logan airport where he took to Instagram live and cried racism on some level. He later apologized for that. Staties can be some of the biggest assholes sure, but Javon you might want to learn the playbook. Uber doesn’t seem to fit you.

  • Kayshon Boutte has had the least problems, but following up the London game he publicly expressed frustration for constantly having to “demand the football”. He followed it up with a hit or miss game vs the Jets including some flagrant drops, but also a couple key catches down the stretch. Last year he was benched by Belichick after failing to secure both feet in bounds in week 1’s final drive vs the Eagles. He has since told reporters the impact that had on him was huge and he never wants to go through it again. Maybe a lesson for the new head coach? Coach Vibes' “Treat them like men - First amendment rights - express your feelings - corporate nonsense just might not be the best approach for 21 year old brand new millionaire meat heads jacked up on testosterone Uncrustables?

Oh, and Boutte did beat a MASSIVE gambling rap from his time at LSU, but he’s learned from his mistakes and is now considered the mature one in the room.

That’s just the receiver room. Never mind Peppers, Barmore, etc. By the way. I’d like to throw this name in the shade because nobody has yet. Tyler Hughes is the WR coach for the Patriots.

It’s his first year in the league. Jerod Mayo has taken the overwhelming majority of heat for this team’s ineptitude and rightfully so. But, with the resume of these clowns in this WR room it’s time Mr. Hughes gets a little love from the hate factory. Shape up, dude.

With each passing hour new rumors pop up about the next guy to be jettisoned out of New England. It’s starting to feel like a fire sale for a team that is supposed to be building not tanking.

SOURCE With trade rumors swirling, the New England Patriots could send eight-year veteran Davon Godchaux to the Los Angeles Chargers.

Davon Godchaux is reportedly “shocked” by these trade rumors, but they make sense. At 2-6, New England will not make the playoffs and the rebuilding Patriots should get as many draft picks as possible. The Patriots landed their franchise quarterback in Drake Maye, so now it’s time for them to build around the UNC product. Looking around the league, the Los Angeles Chargers make the most sense for Godchaux.

I understand that this is a rebuild and looking towards the future means maximizing assets. However, the team is a dysfunctional immature mess. Their coaches have zero experience in the positions they hold. So, when we see reports of the Patriots selling off their veterans like Bourne and Osbourn I wonder who will be the adult in the room?
