Pump the brakes on Drake being our savior

20/33 243 yards/ 3 touchdowns/ 2 interceptions/ 1 fumble/ 38 yards rushing (leading the team)

Not a bad stat line for your first start. A lot of fans are already thinking we have the guy after playing the Texans who are a top 5 defense in the NFL. But let us not forget about the last guy we thought was the next franchise guy……

That’s right, after this douchebags first season everyone thought we hit the lottery and found Brady’s replacement. He made the pro bowl,(because quarter backs declined the invite or were hurt) led the Patriots to the playoffs, and all was right in Foxborough….until it wasn’t. He was a cancer in the locker room, forming the infamous, “Mac 6” who ultimately got Belichick fired/quit, in his 3rd season.

This is game 1 of year 1 for Drake. We have a long way to go. Sure he showed signs of being a good NFL QB, but he also showed that he is still a rookie and making rookie mistakes and that’s perfectly understandable. Let’s see how he builds off his first start, his first loss, and now first trip to London to play the Jags. It’s a nice start but there are many games and years to go.
