PROS , CONS, & OBSERVASTIONS From a Week 9 Mexican Standoff of Suck

Editor’s Note: Jacoby Brissett Wins this game. I would not have started him, but Drake Maye’s turnovers contributed directly to this loss and BBH just would not have had those mistakes. Patriots could have won this game 13-10 with Brissett behind center. Beyond that coaching yet again let this team down. Underprepared, mistakes, penalties. The team is not disciplined or sharp. They played with some energy at least. Bottom line this franchise is not building anything substantial. They will have to start all over again from a roster perspective this offseason and probably should with their coaches as well. At least offensive coaching.

Observation- Drake Maye made all the plays; and gave it away.  He dragged the team into overtime with flashes of brilliance.  He also had 3 turnovers which lost the game.  He did not look as sharp as previous starts; possibly the missed time from the concussion affecting his play.   The play calling was miserable out of the gate.  Terrible game script to get things started; never got a rhythm. We saw the raw talent and main area of improvement for Maye.

Con-  Offensive line blows again.  They changed the linemen and configuration for the game.  Didn't Work.  Questionable coaching decision to move away from an opportunity to have continuity on the line for the first time all season.  In the Jets game previous combination had a pressure rate of 30%.  Titans game went right back up 45%.  No ability to move the line to run.  Which is why  . . .

Con- Team is still undisciplined and soft as a pillow.  Take out the 95 yards from Maye scrambles and the Pats rushed for 15 yards on 12 attempts.  While allowing 167 yards to the Titans.  They don't have the horses.  The line play on both sides is weak they get bullied off the line of scrimmage.  Linebackers are slow and don't know how to read the game.

Observation-  Miserable NFL product to watch.  Two garbage teams in a duel to see who could screw up the game first.   18 combined penalties called .  The refs continue to muck up games which are already full of lost coaches and players.  Losing play after loser play.  The number one pick is absolutely in play again.  Panthers win; log jam of teams at 2-7.

Pros - None.
