I'd rather not hear about Drake Maye for like a year
Color me shocked to hear that Drake May blows at camp. Toot toot. I wanted the trade down and take a left tackle, wide receiver, and The Rattler. But, I digress. At this point, the future of your franchise rests with Maye. There is no guarantee he will even be good. The odds are he is going to blow, but if he some how beats the NFL QB suck bag lottery you cannot screw him up so stick him on the bench cross your fingers and pray to Lord Brady they don't fuck him up.
In the meantime, let Jacoby Brissett aka Big Black Hoyer cook. I understand in 2024 how important the quarterback is to the NFL game, but it’s is not everything. There is a lot of building to do around the quarterback position. You have young personnel at wide receiver, high draft picks at wide receiver, and some young personnel on the offense line. Plus, a couple key pieces on defense that can help start to build a young core with momentum towards the future.
Do not talk to me about tanking or sucking only because there is no hope this year. Start to develop your team in every facet possible and try to win as many games as you can. That is how you develop a franchise, not by lucking out with Josh Allen. The Bills tried that for 25 years and sucked for 25 years until they got a second Irene stroke of luck hiring Brian Bball unlocked the quarterback.
Draft, develop, supplement deficiencies with free agents or trade, and when the quarterback is ready, or even find a quarterback to fit your team, then you are in a position to compete
