Make New England a desirable destination again

What a dud of the opening day of the tampering period for the New England Patriots. Do I like the 3 year $57 million dollar deal for our Right Tackle (the money they spent he better be right tackle and not guard) Mike Onwenu signed, of course.

Bolster up that offensive line to protect….Jacoby Brissett? That’s right, Jacoby Brissett was the other name that was brought in on the first day. I like that they brought him in. I feel like he won’t be a cancer to the locker room and could be a great bridge Quarterback. The only negative to this signing is that he signed a 1 year $8 million dollar contract. Meaning who ever we draft for QB may be rushed in late this season but for sure will be starting next year in 2025.

But for a team that had a lot of cash to burn this offseason, they still haven’t made the big splash in my opinion. Onwenu and Brissett are nice but we are still lacking at LT, RG, WR, TE 2 on the offensive side. Of course the draft will be another spot to address needs but it would be nice to get some playmakers in free agency. The big name still being tied to New England is Calvin Ridley.

If the Patriots can make this happen along with a LT I think that would be a successful free agency on the offensive side of the ball. The Patriots have shown their hand and will take a QB at 3.
