MLB's slow 2023 Off-season

The Boston Red Sox fired Chaim Bloom and fans were waiting for a new hire and a signing.

Well…

Presently it’s December 2nd and it’s been dreadfully slow. Tenders are over with. Postings have been placed. There was one trade that was uneventful and to be honest, don’t be surprised if everything is halted (for the most part) until the Japanese stars in Ohtani and Yamamoto are signed.

As for the Red Sox, this is going to get weird. Who is making decisions until they officially hire a GM? Then with all of the penny pinching that got exposed by Henry, season ticket holders will be in uproar.

Is the infield capable with Story having a full off-season and Spring Training? How much will the outfield shift? Then outside Bello and Sale if he’s healthy, who is going to be in this rotation? A lot of holes to fill and we don’t even know the budget.

It’s the Boston Red Sox. They shouldn't act so casual. So pathetic. Someone needs to take charge and rule over the division before the others get stronger. The Yankees will turn it around, the Rays always find a way, Toronto highly underachievied, and then Baltimore, well, will it last?

Time to get back to normal. Competitive baseball. Or it’s going to be a long spring and winter again.
