Jacoby found his blanky
The Patriots on Sunday were trying to string together a winning streak, something this guy didn’t see coming until later in the year. But, here we were and after a run dominated game plan against the Cincinnati Bengals, Alex Van Pelt had to throw a wrinkle into this weeks game plan against the Seattle Seahawks.
You can not depend on Rhamondre to handle the workload he had week 1, even though he is the best player on the offensive side of the ball. We need Jacoby to start throwing the ball and that is what he did this week and wouldn’t you know it, he found his blanky in the process.
When you look at Jacoby’s stats for the day, they aren’t eye popping.
C/ATT-15/27 Yards-149 AVG-5.5 TDs-1 Int-0 QBR-83.7
Mediocre at best. But when you see it and didn’t watch the game you think well at least he got his receivers going.
Jacoby Brissett found his blanky that being Hunter Henry. If there was a pass to a player to be made it was going to Hunter Henry. 12 targets 8 receptions for 109 yards. 109 out of Jacoby’s 149 yards were to Hunter. Quick math.
Jacoby only had 40 passing yards to his other receivers against the Seahawks. Hopefully the Jets don’t pick up on this for Thursday and Brissett to Henry is still available. I’m just glad that we saw a receiver….. excuse me, a tight end get over 100 yards receiving this early in the season. Hopefully someone else because Jacoby’s new favorite target as the season goes on.
