It’s WrestleMania time , but does it feel like it?
Here is a blog that will piss both Rich and Bill off, well mostly Rich since Bill never comes on here.
It’s the end of March and WrestleMania is right around the corner, April 10th and 11th ( A two day show they stole from NJPW), but it doesn’t feel like it. The product is as boring as it has ever been. I thought for sure with the competition from AEW that Vince would finally get his head out of his ass, not worry about the sponsors, and finally put out a good product, but trying to tell a 75 year old man what to do has to be one of the hardest things in the world to accomplish.
The stars they are marketing now are not what the fans want. You got guys like Daniel Bryan, Ricochet, Keith Lee, Aleister Black, Cesaro and the list goes on and on but Vince wants these beefed up guys that have 5 move sets and sell them on the kiddie shows. Even in NXT you have guys that should be pushed to the top but because of size they fizzle as soon as they get the call ups.
The card itself is starting to take place and….. doesn’t look to great. The main event is Edge vs Roman Reigns (c) for the Universal Title. Meh we all know Roman won’t lose and Edge hasn’t wrestled in over a year since tearing his tricep. And he’s coming out of retirement. Yawn fest if you ask me.
Speaking of yawn fests. You got Drew McIntyre vs Bobby Lashley (c) for the WWE title. This title has been passed around more times then (insert mother joke here). No one cares. Both are rejects that got fired and went to Impact. They made a name and came back. Don’t know what that says about these guys or the company. The two best matches will be the woman’s matches. Bianca Belair vs Sasha (c) and Rhea Ripley vs Asuka (c). The woman will steal the show and put the men in their place and I am totally fine with that. I think when this show fizzles and no one is talking about it on the internet the next day, maybe it will finally put some sort of thinking in Vince’s head that his product sucks and it needs to change fast.
