*IF Jaylen Brown wants out
Jaylen Brown feels like he isn’t wanted or appreciated in Boston anymore and wants to play for a franchise that treats him correctly…
Jaylen hates being in the trade rumors, being traded for James Harden when he was still with the Rockets, to traded for Kevin Durant when he was with the Nets, Jaylen doesn’t like it. He doesn’t see that he is in trade talks for other top 10 players in the league. So, has Jaylen lost his smile? Is playing for a top franchise in the East not fun anymore? Well what if you could cheer him up and also a superstar in the West?
Ever since that douche bag, Kyrie Irving, got traded too Dallas he has ruined Luka. He is miserable the team sucks and is out of the playoff picture. If Luka continues to lose his smile and not have fun playing basketball anymore, would he not be a great trade target for the Celtics to go acquire this offseason. The Celtics were high on Luka during the 2018 draft. There were even talks of the Celtics trading Jaylen for Luka back then. The Celtics were willing to give up Brown for the 5th pick in the draft which ended up being Trae Young but later was traded to Atlanta for Luka. To make the money work you would have to give up Marcus Smart or Robert Williams.
The Celtics should do whatever they have to at the end of the season to make 2 superstars happy and help them both love playing basketball again. Jaylen Brown gets to go Dallas where he can be the alpha dog and play with his boy Kyrie Irving. No more trade talks and have an owner that will presumably build around him. Luka on the other hand could come to Boston where the pressure can be put off of him a bit with Tatum being the alpha and his team. The Celtics are already a championship contender and with Brown gone there won’t be a log jam at the forward position.
Luka and Jayson would be the best duo in the NBA, no debating that. Would this also help the Celtics keep Tatum here for when his next contract comes up? He would have 3 years to see if this is going to work since Tatum’s deal is up at the end of 2026 season. Luka and Tatum are top 5 in NBA jersey sales. It would be raining money for Wyc and the Celtics if they can pull this off.
