How do Vibes bounce back?
Hey, if you missed it the Patriots got fisted last Thursday night by Jets. It happened. It's over. But, what’s next test for this young inexperienced coaching staff will be the response. How does Jerod Mayo and the coaches get their players ready to go for Sunday the 49ers?
The Patriots are gonna lose an ass ton of football games this year. But, if they truly are trying to build towards something we cannot see a level of capitulation in losing. We can't see a habit of going through the motions. Rhama dama Ding Dong’s response to a reporter’s question “What can you learn from this loss?” was not ideal in this regard.
This quote is probably getting too much attention, but it does make you wonder if a guy who just got paid and has seen basically nothing but bottom the league kind of football has lost some patience for “learning from losses”.
Either way he better get used to it, because the Patriots are going to lose this week. The 49ers are coming off and gut wrenching embarrassing loss to the Rams last weekend. They are defending NFC champs and Super Bowl contenders sitting at one and three. They need this win. The Patriots are a soft belly opponent just right for them. Pats don't stand a chance. But, it can't look like that. We need to see week one and week two level intensity, tackling, and fundamentals. Lets get a baseline of a team that is willing to do the little things in order to build towards something bigger. With this roster it is quite literally the only thing they should be thinking about. This is how Elliot Wolf, Coach Vibes, and the Krafts set it up. Apparently the subscribe to the 76ers “trust the process” method. Drag your shit all the way to the bottom of the league with only one way to go but up. It’s dumb and wrong, but it’s all we have right now. Build a foundation strong enough for Drake Maye’s big meat head to stand on confidently.
If not for themselves and their organization, then they should do it for the planet. The level of sad beers drained last year hit a fever pitch. This world has a massive trash and pollution problem, ok. Tossing copious amounts of tin cans in the ocean isn’t helping anyone. Plus, the ozone layer can't take any more methane. The Monday Morning beer bombs are not just detrimental to my wife. It’s potential a global pandemic brewing in the guts of New Englanders every Sunday chugging down their sadness.
