A Cam Newton Covid Conspiracy
Something smells fishy here. Either Cam is a freaking moron or there is a cover up going on. What’s the “misunderstanding”? How do you not know the Covid testing protocols? What NFL QB needs to get on a plane in the middle of training camp, three weeks before the season for a doctors appointment? In a pandemic. Unvaccinated. In the middle of a battle for your job. With every resource imaginable at the tips of your fingers with out leaving the stadium never mind New England.
Look, I’m only speculating here, but we know Cam was flying home to the Atlanta region after almost, if not every game last season to see his kids. Can’t fault him. That must be tough to be away from them. Shit, Phillip Rivers used to literally take a helicopter to work because they didn’t make baby farms big enough in L.A. for his gaggle of kids or whatever. You do what you gotta do for your kids.
However, it was a FUCKING PANDEMIC. Cam goes and gets covid and every Cam Stan blames his shitty shoulder and lack of ability to read a blitz on the Corona Virus. Meanwhile Bill keeps trotting him out there. So, we are supposed to believe there was just a “misunderstanding”? A misunderstanding that will cost Cam 5 days in camp and multiple practices when he’s losing ground as the starting QB.
Who’s fuck up is this? Cam’s? Bill’s? Bill Belichick, the king of details, wouldn’t let a “misunderstanding” like this slip through would he? The only time someone uses misunderstanding is when they are full of shit and can’t come up with a better lie.
I don’t know if Bill is covering for Cam here or what. Maybe the starting QB position has already been decided and Belichick gave Cam the go ahead to leave knowing the repercussions? Seems far fetched, but so does trotting out a dead horse at QB every week after performances of 119, 69, 84 yards, 1 TD and 2 INTs.
Bottom line, the Cam Newton experiment needs to end. Maybe this little “misunderstanding” accelerated the process. If Mac Jones goes out over the next week with all the 1st team reps and is good to very good let’s see how far Cam is in Bill’s pocket.
If Cam Newton or any player decides not to get vaccinated how can a coach or GM not take that into account? It 100% affects their potential reliability. The best ability is reliability right Bill? And get ready folks. The NFL has made it clear that they expect their players and coaches to get vaccinated. For the unvaccinated there will surely be a lot of “misunderstanding” type repercussions coming down the pike. Once the game checks staring going away though, misunderstandings are going to find themselves on the street.
Tin Foil Hat time: Maybe Bill did give Newton the go ahead knowing it would force him out for a week in order to get Mac the reps with out causing a media frenzy? More than likely, someone fucked up and there is a cover up a foot.
